Contents: Dong Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Yi Mu Cao / Chinese Motherwort (Herba Leonuri).

Indications: Take when pain from menstrual cramping is high. Reduces PMS and menstruation-related anemia, and helps to re-establish a menstrual cycle after cessation of birth control pills. Reduces pain and headache.

Actions: Antispasmodic, dilates blood vessels while relaxing the smooth muscles of the uterus, thus relieving menstrual cramping. Strengthens blood circulation and relieves pain. Helps both body aches and headaches. Relieves PMS symptoms and improves overall health, especially after giving birth.

Administration: Take 1 capsule each 30 – 60 minutes until relief is obtained. May also take before cramping and associated headaches begin in order to lessen effects if and when they manifest later. Maximum 2 capsules per day. Stop taking when no longer needed.

For more pronounced cases, and also for those in higher weight brackets, take 2 capsules each time, each 60 minutes. Maximum 4 capsules per day.

If re-establishing menstruation, take 1 or 2 capsules daily after breakfast, beginning immediately after ovulation, usually days 14-17. Stop at around day 25.

Reactions: On rare occasion, blood pressure may temporarily decrease in those who have too high blood pressure. May slightly delay onset of menstruation if taken in large quantity, at the beginning of the menstruation cycle (before bleeding starts).

Cautions: Not for pregnant women. Breast feeding women by limited prescription only. Not for male or transsexual consumption.

About the Ingredients in Compound CMP

Dong Gui (Angelica Sinensis). Known as the “female ginseng,” commonly used to regulate the menstrual cycle and relieve menstrual cramps. Relieves menopausal symptoms, reduces PMS symptoms and menstruation-related anemia, and helps to re-establish a menstrual cycle after cessation of birth control pills. Dong Gui is also antispasmodic. Coumarin present in this herb helps dilate blood vessels and relax the smooth muscles of the uterus, thus relieving menstrual cramping.

Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma). Improves blood circulation and promotes the flow of “qi” or vital energy. Used today as a blood tonic to relieve PMS, stop menstrual pain and improve overall health, especially after giving birth.

Yi Mu Cao / Chinese Motherwort (Herba Leonuri). Improves blood circulation and clears blood clots that occur in menstrual disorders and after childbirth. Promotes diuresis and relieves edema.
