Contents: Star Anise (Illicium Verum), Purified Water.
Star Anise (Illicium Verum) is a medium-sized evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. A spice is obtained from the star-shaped pericarp of the fruit, which are harvested just before ripening. Star anise oil is a highly fragrant oil used in cooking, perfumery, soaps, toothpastes, mouthwashes, and skin creams.
Star anise contains plenty of important minerals and vitamins including Vitamins A and C as well as small amounts of B vitamins. It also contains calcium and phosphorus but in terms of its medicinal value, perhaps its most important compound is shikimic acid – the main ingredient in Tamiflu flu medicine. Shikimic acid is highly beneficial in spike protein treatments.
Shikimic acid contained in star anise is much stronger than that found in pine needles – pine needle tea can be toxic if wrong species are used. However star anise is highly beneficial in many ways.
The extract of star anise is as successful as antibiotics, in counter to pathogenic (non-beneficial) bacteria, that are manifold drug-resistant. Also contains thymol, which stimulates the immune system.
A few benefits….
New and expectant mothers should avoid Star Anise. Those with ovarian, breast and uterine cancers can only use in smaller amounts.
One of the Japanese variants of Star Anise can be toxic in large amounts.
