About the Ingredients in Compound M2
Giant Kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera). Seaweeds are officially labeled as nutraceuticals due to their positive effects on human health, for example, to alleviate arthritis, diabetes, autoimmune, ocular and cardiovascular diseases. Rich in several bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, sterols, alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, proteins with essential amino-acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and essential minerals (calcium, iron, iodine, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, and every trace element available in the environment). Fucoidans in kelp are antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and antithrombotic.
The Chlorophyta / chlorophylls and carotenoids (β-carotene and xanthophylls) it contains are highly antioxidant – and chlorophyl is considered the life-blood of all plants, the heart of nutrition. Moreover, the chemical diversity of fucoidan and its antioxidant capacity can contribute to the prevention of human diseases such as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and AIDS.
