Stroke Recovery Chinese Formula A

Contents: Huangqi (Radix Astragali), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Danshen (Radix Salviae Miltorrhizae), Juemingzi (Cassia Obtusifolia Linne), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensiss), Chishao (Paeoniae Veitchii Radix).

Indications: Traditional Chinese medicine for healing stroke, the nervous system, and spinal cord injury.

Actions: Healing properties include anti-cerebral ischemia, anti-myocardial ischemia, blood vessel protection, anti-thrombotic, anti-hypertensive, anti-atherosclerosis, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, and anti-asthma effects and more.

Administration: Take 1 capsule, 15 – 30 minutes before each meal: 1 capsule before breakfast, 1 capsule before lunch, and 1 before dinner. Maximum 3 capsules per day. Take for three weeks on, then four days off.

For more pronounced cases, and also for those in higher weight brackets, prescribe 2 capsules each time.

If recovering from a long term stroke, and in prevention of future stroke, take 1 capsule 15 minutes before breakfast, and one capsule before dinner. If positive reactions are observed, then scale back to once per day in the morning, then stop when no longer needed. Maximum 2 capsules per day. Take maximum for three weeks, then four days off.

Take concurrently with Compound STK-B. Do not take more than prescribed.

Reactions: Occasional involuntary movement may occur as the brain and nervous system heal. Unusual sensations or feelings may occur as the nervous system heals.

Storage: Must be kept sealed in cool dry place, normal refrigeration is required.

Cautions: Do not combine with caffeine or sugars. Avoid seed oils and follow the BSI Food Guide. Avoid if pregnant or nursing, unless otherwise by prescription.

About the Ingredients in Compound STK-A

Huangqi (Radix Astragali). Immuno-regulatory, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection, and anticancer, antiviral, anti-aging, and anti-diabetic.

Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong). The most widely used traditional Chinese medicine for treating stroke and spinal cord injury. Healing properties include anti-cerebral ischemia, anti-myocardial ischemia, blood vessel protection, anti-thrombotic, anti-hypertensive, anti-atherosclerosis, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, and anti-asthma effects.

Danshen (Radix Salviae Miltorrhizae). Promotes blood flow, treats vascular disease, dilates coronary arteries, increases coronary blood flow, and scavenges free radicals in ischemic diseases, thereby reducing cellular damage from ischemia and improving heart functions. Effective for angina pectoris, Myocardial infarction, and stroke.

Juemingzi (Cassia Obtusifolia Linne). A nervine which promotes strength and calms the nervous system while increasing stamina and triggering several brain activities.

Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae). Tonifies the heart and spleen and harmonizes the properties of other herbs. Relieves menstrual pain, muscle spasm, and muscle pain.

Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensiss). Anti-anxiety and antimicrobial, by inducing relaxation and decreasing anxiety.

Chishao (Paeoniae Veitchii Radix). Heals injury-related brain damage, vascular problems, degenerations, and cognitive deteriorations. Anti-inflammatory, anti-endotoxin, anti-depression. Balances the central nervous system with sedative, analgesic, antispasmodic, and anticonvulsant effects.
