MEDI TPN

BSI Hangover TPN Bottle 2021 Large Format NOV 2022

Indications / Symptoms: For patients who are severely malnourished and cannot obtain proper nutrition via the digestive tract.

Prescription: Administered via IV Infusion, only after the Doctors or Nurse Practitioners have examined the patient and have determined effectiveness and dose. This infusion is only given to member patients.

Actions: Medi TPN is a Total Parenteral Nutrition solution containing amino acids, glucose, MCT/LCT fat emulsion, and electrolytes, in a three-chamber bag. It supplies essential fatty acids, amino acids, electrolytes and fluids for patients in states of mild to moderately severe catabolism when oral nutrition is insufficient or contraindicated.

Cautions: Generally only given via IV infusion. Do not give with Vitamin C, other vitamins, or Vita-IV infusions during the same day.

Hypersensitivity to the active substances, to egg, peanut or soya protein, or to any of the excipients are cautioned. General contraindications to parenteral nutrition include unstable circulatory status with vital threat (states of collapse and shock); acute phases of cardiac infarction and stroke; unstable metabolic condition (e.g. severe post aggression syndrome, coma of unknown origin); inadequate cellular oxygen supply; disturbances of the electrolyte and fluid balance; acute pulmonary edema; decompensated cardiac insufficiency.
